The Albany, Georgia law firm of Brown & Scoccimaro, P.C. was founded in 1988 to provide high-quality service to people suffering from personal injuries. In the past 19-plus years, our lawyers have assisted thousands of people and gained many millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements. The Partners of Our Personal Injury Law Firm

Each of the partners of our firm, Jimmie Brown and Ralph Scoccimaro, has more than 24 years of experience as attorneys. Both spent several years litigating criminal cases before beginning work in personal injury. Jimmie and Ralph have backgrounds of military service; Jimmie served honorably for four years as an enlisted paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, and Ralph served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as a Special Communications Operator attached to the Naval Security Group Activity.

Jimmie is a "jack of all trades". He is a licensed pilot; certified scuba diver; enjoys restoring old Corvettes; collecting historical weapons; flying remote control aircraft; woodworker; amateur author; and amateur technical historian; and is functional with computers.

He is a member of the Dougherty County and Georgia State Bar associations, and is licensed to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals; Georgia Supreme Court; U.S. District Court Middle District of Georgia; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Georgia Trial Lawyers Association; Workers' Compensation Claimant's Lawyers; and a Pro Bono volunteer for National Veteran's Legal Services Project.

Ralph is fluent in Spanish and maintains a wide and varied clientele. His practice focuses on defending the rights of victims regardless of race, color or nationality. Ralph follows the credo that "a lawyer who doesn't shed a tear for his client is either a liar or should be disbarred." (Abraham Lincoln).

He is a member of the Georgia, California and District of Columbia Bar Associations and maintains membership in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America: Georgia Trial Lawyers Association; and the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Federal Circuit.
